SAR Honduras FEL Electronic Invoice IHSS RAP ISV 15% ISR NIIF/IFRS HNL / USDThe Heart of Central America
Honduras is Central America's second-largest economy and its undisputed manufacturing hub. Home to over 200 maquiladora companies concentrated in San Pedro Sula and the Choloma industrial corridor, Honduras exports more than US$4 billion annually in textiles, garments, automotive harnesses, and electronics -- serving American and European markets with competitive precision.
With a population of 10 million and strategic Atlantic and Pacific port access, Honduras has attracted global brands that rely on its free-trade zones and skilled labor force. The tourism sector -- anchored by Roatán's world-class diving reefs and the ancient Maya city of Copán -- adds a second pillar to an economy that is rapidly diversifying beyond agriculture and textiles.
Honduras has undergone significant fiscal reform, with SAR (Servicio de Administración de Rentas) replacing DEI and implementing FEL (Facturación Electrónica en Línea) as the mandatory e-invoicing framework. This evolution demands ERP software that is purpose-built for Honduran compliance -- not adapted after the fact.

Full Compliance Coverage
From FEL electronic invoicing to IHSS social security -- cifraHQ covers every compliance obligation Honduras businesses face.
Our Origin
cifraHQ was born in Panama -- a country that understands complex, multi-jurisdictional business environments, free-trade zones, and dollar-denominated accounting. That foundation made us uniquely qualified to build for Honduras, a country whose economic DNA runs through maquiladoras, free zones, and export manufacturing.
We understand Honduras because we were built by neighbors who share Central America's regulatory logic: mandatory e-invoicing, employer social charges layered on top of payroll, dual currency accounting, and the complexity of operating across free zones with different fiscal regimes.
When Honduras reformed its tax administration and launched FEL through SAR, we were already building for it. Not adapting. Building.
"A country that sews the world's clothing and assembles its electronics also deserves software that understands its scale and complexity."
Tax Compliance Engine
Native generation of FEL documents (factura, nota de crédito, nota de débito) with automatic transmission to SAR via certified provider (PAC). Real-time validation and XML storage.
Automatic ISV calculation at 15% (standard) and 18% (alcohol/tobacco/special goods). ISR withholding on employees and third-party suppliers. DCLV monthly declarations generated automatically.
Separate accounting for ZIP, ZOLI, ZEA, and ZEDE operations. Fiscal regime tracking per entity, duty-free import accounting, and export documentation for maquiladora operations.
Honduras Payroll
Honduras labor law is among Central America's most specific. Two mandatory additional salaries -- Aguinaldo in December and the 14th Month in June -- plus layered social security charges make payroll the most complex compliance task for any Honduran business. cifraHQ handles all of it natively.
IHSS contributions (employer 5% + employee 2.5%) and RAP housing fund contributions (employer 1.5% + employee 1.5%) are calculated per payroll run, with employer contribution reports generated in SAR-compliant format for monthly filing.
