cifraHQ folio pricing

$0.08 per folio: each authorized electronic document (invoice, credit note, debit note).

$12.50 monthly minimum: covers up to 156 folios. If you issue fewer, the minimum is invoiced.

More than 156 folios: only the folios issued are invoiced at $0.08 each; the minimum is not added on top.

Formula: monthly cost = the greater of $12.50 and (folios × $0.08).

How folio billing works

In cifraHQ, every electronic document issued and authorized before the DGI through the PAC consumes one folio. The service has a single per-document price and a monthly minimum; there are no prepaid bundles to buy and no tiered rate tables to decipher.

  • If your monthly usage is at or below $12.50 (up to 156 folios), your service invoice is $12.50.
  • If your monthly usage exceeds $12.50 (157 folios or more), your invoice is folios × $0.08, with no minimum charge.

Worked examples

Low-volume business: 80 documents per month

Usage: 80 × $0.08 = $6.40
$6.40 is below the $12.50 minimum
Month's invoice = $12.50

Mid-size business: 600 documents per month

Usage: 600 × $0.08 = $48.00
$48.00 exceeds the $12.50 minimum
Month's invoice = $48.00 (folios only, no minimum)

High-volume business: 5,000 documents per month

Usage: 5,000 × $0.08 = $400.00
Month's invoice = $400.00
Effective cost per document = $0.08

What consumes a folio

Electronic documents authorized by the DGI through the integrated PAC (Alanube or WebPOS) consume a folio:

  • Electronic invoices
  • Credit notes
  • Debit notes

Each document receives its CUFE and the DGI authorization within seconds, directly from the cifraHQ sales workflow. See the full flow at DGI electronic invoicing Panama.

Frequently asked questions

What is an electronic invoicing folio?

A folio is each electronic document that cifraHQ issues and gets authorized through the PAC: invoices, credit notes and debit notes. Each authorized document consumes one folio.

How much do folios cost in cifraHQ?

Each folio costs $0.08, with a $12.50 monthly minimum. If the month's folio usage exceeds $12.50, only the folios consumed are invoiced at $0.08 each; the minimum is not added on top.

How many folios does the $12.50 monthly minimum cover?

The $12.50 monthly minimum is equivalent to 156 folios ($12.50 ÷ $0.08 = 156.25). From 157 documents per month onward, you pay only $0.08 per folio issued.

What happens if I issue very few invoices in a month?

The $12.50 monthly minimum is invoiced regardless of how few folios you consumed. For example, with 40 invoices in the month (40 × $0.08 = $3.20) your folio service invoice would be $12.50.

Do documents rejected by the DGI consume a folio?

Only documents authorized by the DGI through the PAC consume a folio. For the details of your specific case, check with your implementation partner or with the cifraHQ team.
